From cultivation to formulation and bottling, our approach is shaped by restraint, craft, and a deep connection to the land.
From Soil to Oil
Our process begins on a working Warwickshire farm. Hemp seed is sown, grown, harvested, cleaned, and dried before being cold pressed within converted farm buildings, preserving the integrity of the seed and its natural lipid profile.
The resulting oil is lightly refined into our Essence-Lifted Extract (ELX), a process that captures the plant’s essence while softening its stronger aroma. Botanical, balanced, and beautifully subtle, the oil is then ready to form the foundation of every Prospero formula.
From Oil to Formula
Prospero formulations are developed with balance in mind, with hemp seed oil forming the core of each blend. There is no water, no unnecessary additives, and no excess — only a high concentration of cold-pressed hemp seed oil produced on our own fields.
This oil is combined with selected botanicals and extracts chosen for their compatibility with skin and hair. Ingredients such as organic pomegranate and prickly pear seed oils contribute powerful antioxidant support, while olive squalane and organic sea buckthorn pulp CO₂ moisturise and protect the skin barrier.
Grounded by notes of organic vetiver, pine, cedarwood, and petitgrain, each formula carries a calm, understated aromatic character from the first drop.
From Formula to Bottle
Once a formulation is finalised, it is produced in small batches with experienced UK manufacturing partners who share our commitment to craft and precision. Ingredients are carefully weighed, blended, and monitored to ensure consistency, quality, and traceability at every stage.
Products are then filled, capped, labelled, and packed locally, allowing for close oversight and a more hands-on approach from production through to finished product.
To protect the integrity of our formulations, we use bio-photonic glass. Miron violet glass is specially designed to limit light exposure and help preserve the stability and character of each formulation in every drop.
