How long does each bottle last?
Prospero oils are used sparingly. A few drops or a single pump is usually enough for each application. The formulas are designed to deliver effective care without requiring large quantities.
Usage varies depending on routine, but typical use is as follows:
FACE OIL 50 (30 ml dropper) _ Using 2–3 drops morning and evening, a bottle typically lasts 3–4 months.
EYE OIL 50 (15 ml roller) _ With one gentle pass under each eye morning and evening, a bottle typically lasts 3–4 months.
HAIR & BEARD OIL 50 (50 ml pump) _ Using 1 pump daily for beard or hair conditioning, a bottle typically lasts 10–12 months.
BODY OIL 50 (100 ml pump) _ Using 2–3 pumps after bathing or showering, a bottle typically lasts 2–3 months depending on coverage.
Why use an oil instead of a water-based moisturiser?
Without any water or preservatives in the formula, oils are a more concentrated solution for nourishing and protecting the skin from within.
Prospero formulas are designed with hemp seed oil as the main ingredient, due to the fatty acids it contains, which are essential for your skin and hair.
What makes Prospero different from other skincare oils?
Every Prospero formula begins with hemp seed oil grown on our founder’s land in Warwickshire, which is then pressed and refined into ELX, a process that captures the plant’s essence while softening its stronger aroma.
This oil forms 50% of each formula, supported by botanicals selected for their antioxidant and essential fatty acid content. The result is formulations shaped by ingredient quality and performance, small-batch production, and a mindful approach to skincare. All our products are packaged in protective Miron glass, to maintain the high performing ingredients used in our blends.
Why are Prospero oils priced at a premium level?
Prospero formulations contain a high concentration of British-grown hemp seed oil — up to 50% across the range, far higher than typical cosmetic blends. Our formulations are supported by active botanicals, carefully selected for their antioxidant, moisturising and skin barrier protection properties.
Hemp is grown on our founder’s land and is pressed locally. Products are designed and formulated in house, and blended in small batches with our specialist UK manufacturing partner.
Miron violet glass, a specialised and unique type of glass bottles, ensures that our formulations retain their true essence.
The result is a boutique product shaped by ingredient quality, proximity of production, and careful formulation rather than mass production.
Do Prospero products contain CBD or THC?
No.
Prospero products contain hemp seed oil only, pressed from the seeds of the plant.
Hemp seed oil does not contain CBD, THC, or psychoactive compounds, and Prospero products are not marijuana-based.
Why hemp seed oil?
Hemp seed oil sits at the heart of every Prospero formula because of its exceptional compatibility with skin.
Its balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids closely mirrors the skin’s own lipid structure, helping support hydration, comfort, and barrier function without heaviness.
What is ELX?
ELX stands for Essence-Lifted Extract.
After pressing, the hemp seed oil is lightly refined to soften its natural aroma while preserving the lipid profile that makes it valuable for skincare. This refined oil forms the foundation of every Prospero blend.
Are the products suitable for sensitive skin?
Hemp seed oil is widely valued for its skin compatibility and lightweight character.
However, as with any skincare product, we recommend patch testing before first use.
Can the products be used together?
Yes.

Where are Prospero products made?
Hemp is grown on our founder’s land in Warwickshire and pressed within converted farm buildings on the estate.
We design all our formulas in house and put them through rigorous testing and compliance processes.
Manufacture takes place with specialist UK cosmetic partners located nearby, allowing close oversight of production from seed to finished product.
Are the products produced in large batches?
No.
Prospero products are produced in small batches to maintain consistency, quality, and careful ingredient control.
What are your shipping rates and your return policy?

For hygiene reasons, opened skincare products cannot normally be returned.
Unused and unopened items may be returned within 30 days of delivery provided they are in original condition.

How sustainable is your packaging?
Our Miron bottles are made from natural raw materials and are reusable and 100% recyclable. Remove the label and applicator cap before recycling the bottle. Natural products stored in Miron Violetglass last longer, with a higher bioenergetic value that increases the quality and potency of the product stored. A significantly longer shelf life, combined with reuse and recycling, helps preserve natural resources.
Our boxes and sleeves are made from 100% FSC® Mix card and are elemental chlorine and acid free.
